Feed Bartlett Hay Extender Pellets when hay or pasture is in short supply, or when quality of hay or pasture is poor. This product does not totally replace hay or pasture, but it can replace up to one-half of the usual daily intake of forages in the diets of cattle, horses, or goats. This product contains supplemental copper, and is not recommended for sheep or other species sensitive to copper.

Example feeding guidelines:

Mature cattle: Feed up to 10 lb per head per day Bartlett Hay Extender Pellet, along with a minimum of 10 lb hay per head per day.

Mature horses: Feed up to 10 lb per head per day Bartlett Hay Extender Pellet, along with a minimum of 5 lb hay per horse per day. Caution: feeding less than 5 lb hay per horse per day could increase the risk of digestive upset (i.e., colic). Do not overfeed this product to horses.

Always provide plenty of clean, fresh water and free-choice salt. Feed is perishable - do not use this feed if it is moldy, smells musty, or has been contaminated by insects or rodents. Store in a cool, dry area to extend freshness.
